Remiss In My Duties

For quite some time now I have known about Raumpatrouille, a German television series, from 1966.

Germany’s own Star Trek.

I think I happened across it while doing a search for Space Patrol things and a Youtube Video purportedly showing free form dance of the future popped up.

Rather than being yet another Youtube mashup, this clip turned out to be genuine and I started tracing it down.

It was then that I found the German fans who are doing their own version of science fiction preservation an homage to an SF show from their youths.

One such is Thomas Brehl, who recently sent along a fantastic piece of art illustrating the spaceship from Raumpatrouille, the Orion.

The artwork is done either by Brehl or by Henny Van Veenendaal, who’s website displays more artwork.

Forgive me for not knowing which.  I want to get this up because I’ve forgotten to do it for so long, and I can’t find the emails that would answer the above questions.

    i found this link trhough my website, and can answer your question here. Yes all the artwork is mine. We are even working on a fanfilm of this great old German SF series :)
