Rock the Hugo Vote In 2010: Collectible Artwork

Speaking of Mr. Chung (see previous entry): Mr. Chung is among several artists who have responsed positively to my request for artwork that can be used to make link buttons/badges for folks to display on their blogs & websites announcing their participation in the Rock The Hugo Vote in 2010 grassroots effort.

Several Hugo Winning Artists are amongst those mentioned above.

I am still in the process of making inquiries for this part of the program. (Some emails have not yet been responded to, some have not yet been sent – but will be soon).? But if you are an artist and would like to participate and have not yet heard from me, please feel free to get in touch.

The second part of the program (beyond the continuing effort to get folks to sign on to vote in 2010) is the seeking of premiums that can be used as incentives to help encourage signups.? So far responses from the few friends I have queried who are in a position to offer meaningful premiums has been positive.? If I can put enough of these together quickly enough, it will mean that many (new) Hugo voters will receive a ‘discount’ on their WSFS membership up front.

It also means that producers of materials that might be eligible for a Hugo Award in one of the many categories have a direct-contact means for demonstrating both their support of the awards and their interest in having some of their work nominated for the same.

Anyone interested in participating in this part of the program – please get in touch.? I’m currently suggesting a ‘first X people to sign up receive a Y’ (provided that they show proof of voting status) – but I am more than open to suggestions for other methods.
