Reviewing The Book Review Blogs: Day 1

7 Foot Shelves:  (Somewhat) weekly postings of mini-reviews by five reviewers – currently science fiction (and zombies).  No blogroll, no link.

The Accidental Bard: No postings since February ‘09.  Up to that point, about equal parts science fiction and urban fantasy, as well as commentary on others from around the b’sphere.  No blogroll, no link.

A Boy Goes On A Journey: Now titled A Writer Goes On A Journey.  Reviews – genre fiction, focused on Australian Spec Fic.  Website with associated blogs (seemingly non-review oriented).  Brief blogroll on the blog page.  No link.

A Dribble Of Ink: Fantasy reviews, cover art reviews, television and articles, generally on the fantasy genre. Includes the complete Ottinger List.  And therefore links here.

Adventures in Reading: More often than not, reviews of science fiction and fantasy; interviews with authors of the same as well.  Posted the Ottinger List, but not in the blog roll.  No link.

A Fantasy Reader: Fantasy reviews and author interviews. Blogroll.  No link.

The Agony Column: Reviews of ‘literature’ (fantasy bent), podcasts.  Multiple reviewers, including an NPR broadcaster.  No blogroll.  No link.

A Hoyden’s Look At Literature: Oh, just about anything in print. Author blogroll.  No link.

All Booked Up: Anything and everything, with emphasis on science fiction and history.  Posted the Ottinger List as a post.  No blogroll, no link.

Alexia’s Books and Such…: Book lover reads everything.  Some YA, general lit in evidence right now.  Ottinger List up as a post.  No blogroll. No link.

Done for today.  A month of this ahead if I do 10 a day.

Housekeeping & Suggestions:  You can place a blogroll on a ‘Page’ (at least in Wordpress).  Quick and dirty – copy the HTML of the list from John’s site.  Open Admin on your (Wordpress) site. Select ‘Add New’ from the Page menu. Title the page ‘Blogroll’ or some such.  Select the HTML tag on the contents editing screen.  Paste in the HTML from John’s site.  Save.

Viola – the complete Book Reviewers Blog List on your site, as a blogroll.

Second suggestion:  I found many wonderful and valuable blogs/sites by investigating the stats page of my blog (the ‘linked here/came from here’ lists).  If you aren’t doing this at least semi-regularly, you ought to.

PLEASE! Add an ABOUT page to your blog.  Please!
