Ottinger’s Book Review Blog List

John Ottinger has finished the compilation of the Book Review Blog List that started as a meme last year, inspired me to capsule review all the blogs (here) and inspired John Anealio to write a song that included most of the blog names.  Particularly mine.

I did my bit this year, suggesting no less that three review blogs – which I see have been added to the list – and am including it a posting (will soon be adding them all to an updated blogroll on my site) as suggested by John.  Here.  What you are reading now.  And perhaps you’ll notice the name of my blog at the end of the ‘C’ section.  Maybe you’ll want to visit.  Me, I mean.

You can still add your own blog, so rather than cursing out all of these WAY popular blogs for all of the increased attention they’re going to get – eclipsing your puny little efforts and consigning you to the link-heap of blogging history – go sign up HERE.

You can also get your own nifty copy of all of these review blogs to put on your very own review blog at the same place.

And yes, I will be creating a file that you can import into your RSS feed reader.  I may have that later on today – certainly by tomorrow.

And BTW – by a quick count, there’s about 278 blogs listed here.

  1. See the website http://www.onthewaytodenmark.com.
First part of the book describes hitchhiking experience of two Indian boys who travelled from India hitchhiking all the way to Denmark back in 1969. Author of the book studied at the University of Copenhagen and completed post graduate education. Second part is the observation and analysis of positive and negative aspects of Danish society. The author postulates that Danish society has inner strength in its human resource which makes it possible for that tiny country to exert significant influence in the modern world. Whereas, India being 120 times larger is merely an appendage of the west in the present day world. This striking difference, author believes, is primarily due to shaping of their respective indigenous human resources. Danes might find the stranger’s description of Danish way of life not only amusing but equally revealing.

  2. Hi John —

Could you add Flames Rising (http://www.flamesrising.com)? I’m not the blog owner, so I wasn’t sure if I should use the “sign up” site. :)
