You all have GOT to read this post from Jeff Vandermeer.

I haven’t offered any commentary on the SF Ethics group because, quite frankly, it confused me.
It purported to be about positivity in science fiction, or about seeking positive reviews of science fiction, or something positive, but many of the author members write what some might consider negative science fiction
(for the record, I believe all science fiction is positive, seeing as how it assumes that the human race has some kind of future)
and the commentary in the blog was often at odds with what it seemed the stated mission was, and the members (writers all) seemed unable to articulate exactly what they were about – so I just left it alone, figuring it would either go away or sort itself out eventually.
Cheryl said she didn’t like it (well, she didn’t put it exactly that way) and then pointed to Jeff’s piece above.
After reading what that hammer-weilding monkey had to say I’m tempted to start a meme.? The hammer meme.
How many of you all out there could care less about “positivism” and would just rather SMASH STUFF INTO LITTLE TINY FLINDERS CAUSE IT FEELS GOOD!?
I’ve got a hammer.? Professional grade.
Let me know if you have one too.
