I’ve recently added a five-star rating plugin to THE CLASSIC SCIENCE FICTION CHANNEL .? Now you can let everyone know what your all-time fave is by giving it a five star rating.

You can also let everyone know just how much you really HATE Plan 9 From Outer Space or Robot Monster by giving it a one star rating and insuring that it stays at the top of the bottom of the heap.

It already looks like there’s going to be a rush on the site by fans of the almost post apocalyptic television series Jericho – fans of the show have been pounding me for the past three days because they didn’t like the fact that I’m not to thrilled by the show.

They’re trying to pull a ‘Star Trek’ and get the show re-animated; if something like that does happen (more power to ‘em) I just hope that they do a re-do with a little more logicality – like moving the town to American Samoa or someplace else that wouldn’t have everyone dying from radiation sickness inside of a month.? (Although the salt mines close to Jericho would be convenient – if EVERYONE in the town relocated there…)

And stick in thread somewhere that explains why Iran and China don’t immediately invade to insure that the American Empire doesn’t ever have a chance of rising again.

For that matter – given current events – maybe they should re-do the show in the REAL Jericho in Israel.

Not that I want to spend all that much time on a TV show that I personally didn’t think was all that good (and one which will never be back on network TV – the “controllers” have dug in their heels and have determined that they aren’t going to let fans push them around – ultimately proving their original decision to have been the correct one) but I did go and read a bunch of reviews of the pilot and first season and am amazed that a show that received such widespread critical panning should engender such a large, loyal and vocal fan base.

But then there’s always been a huge audience for soap operas.
