Could this be the long delayed announcement that was supposed to come out this past September from the lander teams?

Some folks speculated that the Phoenix lander had actually CONFIRMED data returned by Viking back in the 70s.

Is there any truth to the (newly revealed) story that Pixar got JPL to delay their announcement so they could use it to promo the John Carter film?

Is that any less possible than using the ‘find’ to make the case for increased budgets for NASA during the Obama administration?

I really don’t care – MORE money for space and let’s go to Mars already!

Why? Because it’s there, dammit!
