Mr. Joshua Bilmes is the man in question and, if the title of one of his webpages is any clue, he’s got a good sense of humor (awfulagent). Mr. Bilmes would obviously like to see Chandler published, republished, collected, anthologized, omnibused, translated and adapted to radio, television and the big screen (and then, ten years later, remade with new talent). I get the feeling its not just because of his percentage either. If anyone has the means to accomplish any of the preceding, please send Mr. Bilmes a large downpayment. Then call me because I want in on the project!

David Kelleher’s in-depth and absolutely fantastic Chandler information site, including the most comprehensive Chandler bibliography and image collection anywhere. David has obtained permission from Susan Chandler (Arthur’s wife) and from Mr. Bilmes, (and other sources) to reprint various works. Stories, poems, letters and articles from the Master Navigator himself can be found there as well as some great cover art. Go take a look at the bibliography first – no one, not even Chandlerphiles, has any idea how many stories he actually wrote.
