CHANDLER LINKS

In order to compile the link pages, I entered “Bertram Chandler” (the quotes are necessary) into Google.

This resulted in approximately 68 pages being returned at ten results per page. I then proceeded to the last page in the listing and worked my way forward. (Google is based on page rank – and a bunch of other stuff – so interesting things on less popular subjects are often found amongst the last hits. That was true in this case as well.)

A large number of the resultant links were to foreign-language sites. If they looked interesting, I translated the page and if the garbled results still looked interesting, I included it below. I was far more critical of foreign language pages than I was of English language pages.

An equally large number of results were Ebay or Amazon searches which were also eliminated; if you are looking for works by Chandler, those are two good places to start.

The links that made it onto this page have at worst a tenuous connection to Chandler. For example, one page that discusses Space Opera mentions Chandler in passing, but I included it since many folks who like Chandler’s stories also like Space Opera and might find it of interest.

I’ve attempted to group these links into sensible categories. One such is the book and magazine sellers. I’ve included these since many of Chandler’s works are out of print and you might need to look at every single one of these pages in order to find a particular volume.

The rest of the links either provide bibliographic reference material (such as the magazine contents pages), images of Chandler books, a little history or places to find reviews and commentary on the author.
