TV
- TALES OF FRANKENSTEIN
A
pilot for an unproduced anthology show, from 1958. What makes
this a notable effort is its director - Curt Siodimak, a science
fiction author in his own right, and the writers Catherine L.
Moore and Henry Kuttner - both famous as SF short collaborators.
Their most recent adaptation was The Last Mimzy, from their
Lewis Padgett short story - Mimsy Were The Borogoves.
MOVIE
- THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
This
is the original, not the soon-to-be-released remake with Keanu
Reeves. Enjoy this, realize how timeless it is and understand
why the mere concept of a 'remake' is blasphemy. Based on the
short story Farewell to the Master by Harry Bates.
