CONCORDANCE SUBJECT INDEX

The Subject Index lists each database entry item first by SUBJECT CATEGORY (see the subjects list in the references section for a definition and contents of each one), then by SORTING NAME (the common or 'generic' name assigned to each unique entry; many items are referred to by different names, even though they are the same thing and the use of the sorting name allows them to be gathered together in the concordance) and finally by title and page number.

This does not represent the final organization of the concordance. When completed, the items will additionally be organized by STORY SEQUENCE, so that the entries will appear in the historical order of the various texts. The detailed entries will then show a logical progression over time, aiding further in the identification of connections, time-lines and contradictions.

The fields shown are: Subject, Sort Name, Text Name, Story Code/Page Number(s), Detail.

Please note that this is a presentation of the raw entries in the database; this information has not yet been edited. Note also that where an entry appears in quotes, it is an actual quote from the text.

Due to the sheer size of the concordance database (over 3500 entries with only about a tenth of the works entered so far) the website presentation had to be broken up into five different files. This was done by Subject.

The five files are:

BEVERAGES to INSIGNIA containing the entries under Beverages, Clothing, Companies, Creatures, Drugs, Empires, Foods, Governments, History, Insignias

PEOPLE A to G containing character last names from A to G

PEOPLE H to Z containing character last names from H to Z

PLACES to SAYINGS containing entries in Places, Planets, Psionics, Races, Regulations, Robots and Sayings

SHIP DETAIL to WEAPONS containing entries in Ship Detail, Shiplines, Ships, Suns & Nebulae, Things, Technology, Vehicles and Weapons.
