CHRISTIANS AND LIONS
The Irreverent Strategy Game

(A few copies remain available. Email me if you would like one. The game may be published again - depending upon the desire's of the market. If it is reproduced, it will be done as a 'deluxe' version - new counters, new map, a few new scenarios, as well as repros of the original version. It may even include a bonus game - Strafe.)

Front 'silver' cover. Artwork by Sali Stern - who's now a respected artist living on Long Island, NY. Rulebook cover by Doug Woods. This piece of art epitomizes the game's tagline - PRAY or DIE!

Back cover 'come on'. When I was paying sales calls on the game stores, all I did was shove this in front of the manager.
I usually sold at least 5 copies.

Game Pieces and map. The pieces had a bone on the back to represent a dead christian. The pieces, from top left to right are Prophet, Disciple, Patriarch, Shepherd, Slaves, Women and Children. These are followed by Nero and Sheba, after which are various markers including BLIND, HORNY and MAIMED. The first number on a piece is the unit's HOLINESS factor. The second number is their MOVEMENT factor - one per hex on the above map.

Reviews and coverage from around the web:

RPG.Net. - We got great reviews. Scott Harin's in Fantasy Gamer was the best - he even solicited a desinger's notes article from us.

BoardGameGeek: The game is listed in most historical/collectors guides.

The Unity of Law and Morality: A Refutation of Legal Positivism : I had no idea! We're part of the popular culture! (Look for the highlighted reference)

The Herald: More popcul - now we're in a quiz. (Page down to the quiz at the end of the issue.)
